Ingredients
-
½ cup maida (all-purpose flour)
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
-
Salt and pepper, to taste
-
2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into pieces
-
1 large egg
-
1 tablespoon water
-
1 cup vegetable oil (for frying)
-
1 cup breadcrumbs
Method
-
Prepare the Chicken Mixture
Place the chicken pieces in a blender. Add salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Blend until the mixture reaches a consistency that can be shaped into balls. -
Shape the Nuggets
Roll the mixture into small balls and set aside. -
Prepare the Coating
-
Place the flour in a bowl and season lightly with salt and pepper.
-
In a separate bowl, whisk the egg with 1 tablespoon of water.
-
Keep the breadcrumbs ready in another bowl.
-
-
Coat the Nuggets
Roll each chicken ball in the flour, dip it into the egg mixture, and then coat it with breadcrumbs. Gently press each ball to flatten slightly into a nugget shape. Place on a clean plate. Repeat with the remaining mixture. -
Fry the Nuggets
Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Add the nuggets (work in batches if needed) and cook until golden brown on both sides. -
Drain & Serve
Transfer the nuggets to a paper towel–lined plate to remove excess oil. Serve hot with your child’s favorite dip.
Enjoy a healthier homemade alternative that your children will love — without the guilt!
