Loss and the Gift of Life

With the three miscarriages my wife suffered, we lost three lives before they were given to us.
As a family, we experienced firsthand that life cannot be brought into existence by mere calculation or human will alone. It is the Giver of life who both creates and sustains it. Now, as we watch our three boys grow into young men, we know their lives were preserved for a purpose that goes beyond mere chance.

Every Pregnancy Is Sacred

I see every pregnancy as sacred, and every child that God adds to a family as a precious gift from above—right from the very moment of conception.
Though every pregnancy and childbirth experience differs, when we view it as partnering with God to co-create and raise a godly generation, the entire journey takes on a new and profound purpose. This perspective helps us rejoice through the process and endure tough phases with hope and accomplishment.

The Mystery of Human Life

As I write this, I am in Guayaquil, Ecuador, near the Galápagos Islands where Darwin studied evolution. The mystery of human life and humanity’s search for a higher power are uniquely profound.
The Bible tells us that humans alone were created in the image of God, with His life-giving Spirit breathed into man. This mysterious creation surpasses all other species and reminds us of the immense value of every child.

The Deep Connection Between Mother and Child

The nine-month journey to bring a healthy baby into the world creates a deep bond between mother and child. Unlike reptiles that leave their young to fend for themselves, humans provide intense and lasting care that spans generations.
Pregnancy, therefore, is not merely about adding a new life but nurturing a generation destined to care for each other and fulfill God’s greater purpose.

Facing Challenges with Hope

Pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting are filled with both hope and challenges. We may face dark tunnels and moments of confusion about life’s purpose. Though our journeys are unique, we can find courage in shared experiences and hope in knowing we are not alone.
Allowing God to be our guide and companion helps us press forward—whether in darkness or light—to give our children and the world hope and a future.
